Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled securely by Stripe — we never store your full credit card details on our servers.
Child Profile Information: To personalize stories, you may provide your child's name, age (selected from age ranges: 0–1, 2–3, 4–5, 6–7), interests, and personality traits. This information is used solely to generate personalized stories and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Generated Content: Stories and illustrations generated through our platform are stored in your account library so you can revisit them anytime.
Usage Data: We collect standard usage data such as pages visited, stories generated, device type, and browser information to improve our service.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: generate personalized children's stories and illustrations tailored to your child's profile; process subscriptions and payments through Stripe; improve and maintain the platform; send service-related communications (account confirmations, subscription updates); and comply with legal obligations.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Artory AI is designed for use by parents and guardians, not directly by children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- Children under 13 do not create accounts or interact with the platform directly — all accounts are created and managed by a parent or guardian.
- Child profile information (name, age range, interests) is provided by the parent/guardian and used exclusively for story personalization.
- We do not collect personal information directly from children.
- We do not serve advertising to children or share children's data with advertisers.
- Parents may review, modify, or delete their child's profile information at any time from their account settings.
AI-Generated Content
Stories and illustrations are generated using AI technology. All content is designed to be age-appropriate based on the selected age group. AI-generated images are created fresh for each story and are not sourced from or trained on your child's photos.
Print-on-Demand Orders
If you choose to order a printed book, we share the necessary information with our third-party print and fulfillment partner to produce and ship your order. This includes your shipping address, the story content, and AI-generated illustrations. Your payment for print orders is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your shipping address beyond what is needed to fulfill and support your order.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for database and authentication, payment processing, and AI story and image generation. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them.
Data Retention and Deletion
- You may delete individual stories from your library at any time.
- You may delete child profiles from your account at any time.
